Finger pressure that heals
One of the techniques that we offer at our massage center in Santiago de Compostela “Spazio Wellness” is the Shiatsu massage.
This type of massage, added to others like the Relaxing massage and the Pilgrim massage, uses a form of physical therapy originating in Japan that is based on the application of pressure on certain points of the body, using thumbs, fingers and palms of the hands, as well as stretching techniques and joints manipulation. The term “Shiatsu” translates from japanese as “finger pressure”.
The Siatshu massages that we have in our center, located under the stairs of ‘Plaza del Obradoiro’, are of two lenght types: of 30 minutes and 60 minutes.
One of its main functions of a Shiatsu massage is the release of muscular tension.
By stimulating the blood flow, the massage bumps helps carry nutrients and oxygen to the muscles and to the skin.
Shiatsu can give you a feeling of calm and well-being that helps to reduce anxiety and improve mood.
Siatshu massages increase the metabolic activity, which may contribute to the burning of calories.
A Shiatsu massage helps to decrease the levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, promoting a sense of calm and well-being.
By reducing stress, Shiatsu massage can strengthen the immune system, helping the body defend itself against disease and stay healthy.
Fever
The techniques of manual treatment can increase body temperature and worsen feverish.
Infections of the skin or wounds
The massage can worsen the condition of the skin in cases of skin infection, such as dermatitis, blisters, or eczema… the massage might worsen the condition of the skin.
